Photograms and Rayographs
what is a Photogram/Rayograph?
Photograms are pictures that are made a bit like a cyanotype so you don't need a camera to make it. The reason why it makes the image is because when you put an object on the paper for a certain amount of time you it makes a picture, the paper becomes lighter ( white or light grey) the light grey creates a shadow which makes the picture more interesting. |

how do you make a photogram?
You will have to choose a variety of objects to make the picture. You then have to scatter
the objects around the paper to make the actual picture. You then have to expose the light on the
paper for a few seconds (10 seconds). The paper is then exposed to different types of chemicals.
The main chemical used to turn the picture black is the developer, to stop the development
you use the stop bath, you then use the fixer to wash all the chemicals off.

My photograms
In this picture I made a pattern, I used rings and put them around the plant. I didn't just scatter them around I made sure they were in a pattern. I really like it because it isn't just scattered around and it's a pattern, it looks very organised and not messy.

This picture is very different from the other one because it hasn't got any sort of pattern and it looks quite messy whereas the other one doesn't. All of the shapes are different and nothing is the same.
